You’ll need some materials and tools to start!
Materials and tools needed:
• Frostier Bit ( ¾ inch and 2 inch )
• Orbital sander or Disk sander
• Wood glue
• Sand Paper(120 grit and 220 grit).
• Any finish of your choice, preferably food safe Mineral oil
• Double – sided tape.
First things first, safety! Make sure you observe all the safety protocols, and that all your equipment are in good conditions and adjustable to perform effectively. Endeavor to read and understand all the safety instructions that come with your tools and wear the appropriate personal protective gear e.g. safety glasses, Dust mask and ear protecting gears for your hearing. These should be observed first before you can proceed on to the next step.

Step 1: Mill down your wood
The first thing to do would be to mill down your wood to the size you want it and you can do this by either making use of a jointer, table-saw or planer. For drilling the 3 corner holes, you should a double sided tape to tape down the boards and you can now proceed to drill your 3 pilot holes through the 2 boards which would in turn be the guide for your ¾ inch Frostier bit. Using your ¾ inch Frostier bit to drill the 3 holes. Make your to keep your board taped together as you do this.
Step 4: Preliminary sanding
The next step would be to and the inside surface before assembling and you can do this with your orbital sander or disk sander. You can now begin to work your way through the grits starting at 120 grit then moving up to 180 grit and finishing at 220 grit.
Step 5: Glue everything together
Using wood glue, glue all 3 of the dowels together but first make sure that your dowels and triangle boards fit excellently. This shouldn’t be a problem though because Frostier bit leave a clean and exact hole but just to be certain – make sure check!. If this is not the case however, you can sand the dowel more to improve the fit. Leave the glue to dry. You can also add clamps, just to help close up any space or gap.
Step 6: Complete your sanding
The next step after gluing would be to finish up your sanding and give your stand a smooth finish. You can do this by using the 1500 grit Micro Mesh sanding cloth, or you can stop at 220 grit sandpaper. Use your orbital sander for the top and bottom of your pour over stand and you can sand by hand those interior parts your sander might not be able to access. Make sure to eliminate any remaining glue residue.
Step 7: Apply any finish of your choice
Most people find Spray can finish much more convenient but it is more advisable to use food safe Mineral oil and Danish oil might work well here. You can equally finish using Beeswax butter.
